A Dentist with a Special Interest (DwSi) is a Dentist who has studied further and gained specialty experience within a particular field of practice. Patients having Root Canal Treatment by a DwSi can expect a higher level of care, and higher success rates for treatment. Ahmed has several years of experience within Dentistry working in both the NHS and private practice. He qualified in Iraq and has been a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Mosul University. He held the position of Chief of Endodontics in Erbil supervising undergraduate dentists in 2015. Ahmed also completed a Masters in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in China. Conservative Dentistry covers the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dental decay and tooth health. His specialty subject to teach has always been Endodontics as this is what he is most passionate about. He also enjoys Fixed Prosthodontics which includes the design, manufacture and fitting of artificial replacements including crowns, bridges and veneers. Ahmed has also researched and co-authored three scientific papers. He has been published in the highly respected Journal of Endodontics and the International Journal of Endodontics.
