IMPLANT RETAINED BRIDGES

This patient was struggling with a combination of loose natural teeth and partial dentures. The patient did not wish to continue on to full dentures and was offered the option of immediate implant retained bridges. Following assessment, composed of 3D scanning  and CAT scan radiography, the patient had twelve implants placed, six in each arch and her remaining teeth extracted. Provisional acrylic bridges were fitted on the day and the patient was allowed to go home with a full functioning dentition. Following a period of healing, further impression were made to fit the final implant retained bridgework. These bridges are fitted with side screws, at the base of the bridges (invisible in normal function) to allow easy removal in the surgery when regular cleaning and maintenance is carried out at routine hygienist appointments
